Pilates & Beyond
Pilates, originally known as Contrology, was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. The Pilates method focuses on strengthening and toning muscles to improve posture, flexibility and balance through the integration of mind and body. The systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, has proven Pilates invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor itself, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.
Decathlon Club's Pilates studio houses a variety of programs, including Allegro classes, private, semi-private and 3:1 instruction.
